6/11/2010 - Protest Day

I was on an assignment for uni to cover the London/ Brighton veteran car run and over the day I managed to cover an extra three protests. A busy day, covering a U.A.F march, a march against the Burmese "Junta Election", and another against Ahva who work in illegally taken parts of Palestine.
What was most distressing about the Palestine protest was that a lot of Israelis had turned up to insult the Palestinians and people in solidarity with them, wives of the EDL (English Defence League) turned up giving this whole event a very grim feeling.

The Burmese protest outside the countries' embassy was full of emotion, feeling and anger. It was also very colourful, which I like in an event such as this. The protestors will be revelling in the fact that Aung San Suu Kyi has been released making Burma one massive step closer to democracy and a fair and free life.

Though I hadn't taken a portrait in ages.
